About Maxine's Manor

Maxine's Manor is designed to accommodate larger retreat groups up to 24 but still have a cozy feel.

What the Manor offers:

• Sleeping accommodations for up to 24 guests in our beautifully decorated rooms that accommodate up to 3 people

• Spacious ADA bathrooms are community, however they are fully contained

• New plush twin size Serta mattresses

• 24 - 63” x 31.5” hand crank adjustable tables plus small side table per person

• Large and ample design walls in the main sewing area 

• Comfy rolling chairs that only roll when a person's weight is in it

• Separate lounge area equipped with sofas, chairs and television for downtime or hand sewing

• Dedicated cutting and pressing stations equipped with adjustable cutting tables

• Free Wi-Fi

• Meals included - Catered by Local Area Restaurants

  • Dinner on the night of check in​

  • Continental Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner on full day stays

  • Continental Breakfast on the day of check out

• Located just 15 minutes from Box Car Quilts and across the pond from Dean's Cottage

• On site quilt shop and general store!

Maxine's Manor has has ten bedrooms:

5 bedrooms with 3 beds

4 bedrooms with 2 beds

1 bedroom with 1 bed (perfect for wheelchair guests)

There are 4 full and spacious ADA bathrooms at the Manor.

Catering is provided for all guests at the Manor and is included in the cost of the stay.  Special menus are available for dietary restrictions.  Please let us know at the time of booking about any dietary restrictions.

You are more than welcome to bring snacks and beverages.  There will be a community refrigerator, freezer and microwaves available.  Please note there will not be a stove or oven at the Manor since all meals are catered.

• Open Retreats - perfect for your smaller groups or singles that don't meet minimums for other facilities and to connect with other quilters!  See available dates and sign up HERE.

  • Payment is due in full at the time of booking.  Individual payments are non-transferable.  If you need to cancel you will be refunded up to 30 days before the date of your stay.  If you need to cancel within 30 days of your stay, your payment will be forfeited.

• Dates for Large Groups - contact us at 940-290-5234 to check availability​

  • The Manor has a 18-person, 2 night minimum and is $95 per person, per night including tax and meals.  This will be for the rental of the entire facility.

    • If you have a group of less than 18, and would like to book a particular date, you are more than welcome to do so.  We will open up the remaining of the open spots to the public to fill in.

  • There is a $500 deposit due at the time of booking a group.  The remainder of the balance is due upon arrival.  If your group needs to cancel, the deposit will be returned up to 30 days before the time of your stay.  If your group needs to cancel within 30 days of your stay, the deposit will be forfeited.

Check in time is 12pm and check out time is 12pm.  Please stay to these times as we have a cleaning service come in to prepare for the next group.
